"I feel like I have a purpose every day..."

I graduated college in New York, with a degree in accounting and a minor in business law and moved to Denver where I worked in different accounting roles for a few companies for several years. But it felt stagnant, and I needed a change. I found YPTC on Indeed and went through the extremely rigorous interview process. At first, I thought this was too good to be true, but after starting here I realized that it’s great!

I love what I do. I feel like I’m impacting the community. Our clients love us, they’re happy when I walk in, and I wake up every day and feel like I’m helping these organizations. I feel like I have a purpose every day and I never had that before.

I enjoy working with such a diverse client mix. I’m doing different things within the accounting role for my clients, and it keeps me on my toes. I like that I’m constantly challenging myself. I don’t feel like this is a job – it’s a part of who I am now. It’s very rewarding.

There’s a lot of support within the company which is hard to find these days. If I need help with something I can talk to anyone in YPTC in any state or at any level and everyone is open to assist and give me their input and feedback. I work with different teams and I’m learning from them, they’re learning from me, and we’re supporting each other, and we have each other’s back. Even though we’re spread out across the country I feel a great connection with all of YPTC’s employees. I’m extremely happy about moving into this role and joining the YPTC team.
