Identifying goals is a highly personal process. To aid in everyone’s journey from aspiration to achievement, Your Part-Time Controller, LLC (YPTC) relies on its strong systems of support.  

This looks like professional development opportunities, a firmwide open-door policy, and adherence to the prime directive of never letting a colleague be blindsided. To provide more insight, the following staff members shared what their goals are and how YPTC has supported them along the way.  

Miranda Jijana, Associate, Phoenix 

I came from a career where I was very burned out so moving to YPTC was about getting balance into my life and putting my career in its proper place. But it’s important to me that I work for an organization with a healthy culture, can provide high value services to clients, work collaboratively with others, and continue to learn and develop as a professional. YPTC allowed me to do the above. 

Martina Gaughan, Staff Accountant, RSO Elite 

I feel like I have a ton of support and resources at my disposal, which means I never feel like I alone have to figure something out. I appreciate the ongoing training and opportunities for personal and professional development. I enjoy the opportunity to work part-time in a fulfilling role, while also leaving plenty of time for other things that are important to me like being present for my kids, family, and community. 

Kristen Stone, Staff Accountant, Central New Jersey 

My overall goal is both client and personal satisfaction. I want to know that I am helping my clients continue to do the amazing work they do in their communities. My managers truly have my back and care about my well-being. The culture is supportive and inclusive. 

David Fisher, Associate, RSO Elite 

Professionally, my goal is to continue to grow my expertise as an accountant and financial consultant. Mainly through the diversity of my work and staying up on new accounting guidance and financial trends. From a client perspective, my overall goal is to leave them a little better than I found them each day. Whether that be more knowledgeable about the finances of their organization or about overall financial trends. 

Mimi Ugljesa, Staff Accountant, RSO Elite 

Since I work remotely, I have a daily goal to connect with a coworker or client on a personal level. I also have a professional goal to do more public speaking, and YPTC has given me the opportunity to represent the firm at a conference for non-profit leaders, and to teach in-firm training classes.
