"A new set of eyes"

The Growth Opportunity Center (GOC) is one of the largest behavioral health providers in the region located in Southampton, PA. They have spent over 50 years providing mental health and consultation services to children, families, individuals, and institutions.

Judy Morrissey is the new Executive Director for GOC as of this year! YPTC had been brought on board previously when their long-time director of business operations retired. They were tasked with filling that position somehow in a cost effective, productive way and have been using our services ever since.

Judy’s experience thus far has been nothing short of transformative, collaborative and wholesome as YPTC provided “a new set of eyes and really looked at some of our processes and have made so many suggestions for how we can improve, how we can be more effective in the way we do things and we’ve really started to implement those on a broad scale.”

Judy mentions specific appreciation for YPTC Associate Christina Knapp, “As an executive director, Christina emphasizes that she’s here to support me, and that feels so good because you have so many competing interests. It feels great to have an ally in my corner-especially as a new person in the role.” She also expressed that working with YPTC doesn’t feel like working with only one person, but with a whole organization supporting her and GOC, “If Christina is not sure about something or wants to get some more feedback or input, YPTC provides us with an ‘arsenal’.”

Judy would absolutely recommend YPTC to other nonprofits because “[YPTC] gives you the ability to be much more flexible in what you do, even for some organizations that might need a period of bridging until they can decide what their next step will be.”
