Combined Community Action, Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization in Giddings, Texas. The organization aims to provide comprehensive and immediate service with the necessary resources available that will give opportunities to all people to become fully self-sufficient, and to help people to help themselves.

Marissa Anderson, CFO of CCA says that she listens to Houston’s NPR radio station while driving home in the evenings and “when the organization needed additional assistance, the radio ad popped into mind, and I knew who to call upon right away.”

With the assistance of YPTC, Combined Community Action has been able to take on many meaningful projects that will be utilized for years to come. “Together we have transitioned to a new accounting software, completely redesigned our accounts and GL structure, and streamlined our A/P department” Marissa explains.

She appreciates the ability to lean on YPTC for general accounting guidance, risk management, as well as big picture strategies. Marissa feels that “as a new CFO, the guidance from YPTC has been invaluable in helping me succeed at my role while strengthening the organization through careful analysis and planning.”
