Eric Fraint, CPA, President and Founder of Your Part-Time Controller, has been named to the Board of Directors of two prominent organizations.
Fraint has been named to the Board of Directors of the Grand Canyon Association, the official nonprofit partner of Grand Canyon National Park in Arizona. The Association provides wildlife research, trail preservation and educational programs at the Park that are not covered by federal dollars. Such activities ensure that the national treasure will continue to be enjoyed by families for generations to come.
“For many years I have taken an annual vacation in order to hike the trails of the Grand Canyon. I am overwhelmed with its beauty and grandeur and am honored to have been named to be a part of the Association’s valuable programs. I hope my expertise will be useful in assisting this worthy organization to fulfill its vital mission,” Fraint said.
Fraint was also elected to the Board of Directors of Young Playwrights’ Theater in Washington, D.C. Founded in 1995, the organization inspires budding young playwrights to realize the power of their own voice through the art of playwriting.
Programs develop students’ language skills and empower them with critical thinking, creativity and confidence necessary to succeed in school and beyond.
“Our work helping nonprofit organizations in the greater Washington area introduced me to the Young Playwrights’ Theater. I was immediately impressed with their commitment to involving students in high-quality artistic processes that simultaneously respect and challenge them and benefit the arts and culture community of the Nation’s Capital,” Fraint said. “I am honored to be able to assist them in their worthy purposes.”
Fraint, a resident of Cherry Hill, N.J., has also served as Treasurer or as a board member for numerous nonprofit organizations including the Greater Philadelphia Cultural Alliance, the Philadelphia Foundation, the Philadelphia Jewish Archives Center, the Jewish Publication Society, Creative Access, the Kellman Brown Academy, and Temple Beth Sholom. He has taught nonprofit financial management courses in Drexel University’s Graduate Arts Administration program, La Salle University’s Nonprofit Management Center, and the Fels Institute of Government at the University of Pennsylvania.
He also writes about financial best practices for nonprofit organizations on his blog at www.EricYPTC.com.
Fraint founded Your Part-Time Controller in 1993 as a resource for nonprofit organizations to outsource their accounting and controller functions. With offices in Philadelphia, Washington and New York, the firm provides accounting, financial reporting, controllership services, and other financial-related services to over 300 nonprofits to “build a better world, one accounting department at a time,” he said.
