"No one is on an ego trip..."

Before coming to Your Part-Time Controller I had held several CFO and controllership positions with small businesses in the Philadelphia area. I actually started while I was still finishing up my undergrad studies and I learned how to solve problems and get accounting departments up-and-running pretty quickly.

I had heard about YPTC several years earlier when a friend of mine who’s an associate asked me if I might be interested in making a move. It sounded great but it just wasn’t the right time. We kept in touch and in early 2017 I was experiencing total frustration at my job with a property management firm. I reached out, applied, and fortunately, I was hired.

The culture and the people I work with are great. No one is on an ego trip. Everyone is very helpful. You have a lot more control over what you do on a day-to-day basis, in terms of your scheduling. It’s pretty much up to you as to how to schedule your day to meet your clients’ needs. And your job goes much more smoothly because you’re caring about your nonprofit clients and you’re concerned about their well-being. It’s just a great environment to be in.
